Bible Study - Meet with Pastor Mark on Tuesdays at 10 am in the Fireside Room.

Care Team - The Care Team tries to keep up with the needs of those who require support during times of difficulty by reaching out with meals, home visits, arranging rides,  and help in finding solutions to problems.  

Community Garden - Our garden is located at the NE corner of the property next to the playground.  Signups for a plot occur in February.

Dinner for 8 - Three times a year groups of 8 are formed.  Each group schedules a meal once a month at a variety of restaurants.  

Life Spark Cancer Resources - GMUMC supports Life Spark by donating a massage room in the west building.  This non-profit provides Reiki and Healing touch wellness sessions at no charge during and after cancer.  Call 303-425-5670 to schedule sessions or visit LIFESPARKNOW.ORG

Prayer Shawl Ministry - In the last two years 91 prayer crocheted or knitted prayer shawls were given to family and friends experiencing medical problems or loss of a family member.  The pattern and yarn are provided to those who make the shawls.

Quilts for Kids - Meets Thursday mornings at 9:30 to sew quilts for a variety of charities.   Their dedicated room includes sewing machines and all other necessary equipment and fabric.  In 2025 the group made 150 quilts, 121 placemats for Meals on Wheels,  numerous receiving blankets, and 68 dog beds (made from donated heavy upholstery fabrics and stuffed with fabric scraps) for the Jeffco Animal Shelter.

Receptions - Receptions in our Fellowship Hall after memorial services are available.  Church members help plan, prepare and serve the food for these events. 

Shared Journey - A support group meeting the 3rd Monday of each month for caregivers whose loved ones experience dementia.  

Union Square Neighborhood Connect - Neighbors building an inclusive and vibrant community.  GMUMC supports this neighborhood organization by donating our building for their events.  See their website at www.unionsquarenc.org

United Women in Faith - UMF meets monthly for breakfast at a nearby restaurant.  See the newsletter for time and place.  UWF is very active with mission projects, especially in Zimbabwe and Argentina.  With a focus on women, children and youth, WMF acts for justice and transformation of communities.
