During this time of Covid-19, please join us for online worship by clicking here.

In addition to our traditional worship which you can find on YouTube on Sunday mornings, Pastor Mark is currently hosting an interactive Sunday morning contemplative worship, which begins with a short guided meditation, followed by scripture reading, opportunity for group discussion, and sharing of concerns and celebrations. No sermon or hymns, and quite different than our traditional worship.  Click here to join via Zoom at 8am on Sundays.

We offer two worship services on Sunday mornings.  Our 8am service is a meditative worship experience, and our 10:30am service is a blend of traditional and contemporary worship styles.  You may enter through the north or west entrances, and you'll find handicapped parking on the west entrance of the church, and an elevator inside to allow those in need to access the sanctuary level. Outside our sanctuary, you'll find folks to greet you and answer any questions you might have. We want you to know that as you walk through our doors, you are welcome and we look forward to meeting you!

WORSHIP SERVICE

People usually arrive a little early and visit in the fellowship area just outside our sanctuary. Our service is typically about an hour in length, and includes a welcome, announcements, children's time (at the 10:30am service) prayers, songs, scripture readings, and a sermon.  Our services often have traditional elements woven with more contemporary moments, and music that ranges from classic hymns to gospel and contemporary.  Large print bulletins are available on request when you enter the sanctuary, and interpretation for the deaf is also available on request.  If you'd like to, you’ll have a chance to greet the people sitting around you, share your joys and concerns, and give to the work of the church.

SERMON

The sermon is a reflection delivered by Pastor Mark (or occasionally a guest preacher) that connects our everyday lives with faith and scripture. We hope what you hear on Sunday will give you something new to think about, help you feel closer to God and a community of faith, and inspire you to live freely, love boldly, and work passionately for justice and peace.

DRESS

Please wear whatever is comfortable for you. You may see folks in suits and dresses, and others in jeans and casual wear. God doesn’t care. Neither do we. Come as you are.

YOUTH, CHILDREN & NURSERY

Summit Kids Sunday School is available for children from preschool through 6th grade during our 10:30am worship. Children begin in worship with their family, and then leave for class following the children's time. We encourage youth to attend Sunday morning worship, and youth group meets typically on Sunday evenings. We provide nursery care for infants through five-year-olds from 8:45am until 11:45am. For more on our children's programs, click here and for more on our youth programs, click here.

COMMUNION

On the first Sunday of every month, we share bread and grape juice as a way of remembering the final meal that Jesus ate with his disciples. We have an open communion table, meaning all who wish to take communion are invited to do so, including children, and participate in receiving the love and grace of Christ.  A gluten-free option for bread is available.
