What thresholds have you crossed? What doors have you opened? Or, perhaps, you hear a knock. Have you answered the door? Knocking works both ways. We knock (Rev. 3:20). And Jesus knocks. (Luke 11 and Matthew 7:7-8). Let’s answer the door together and watch the sunrise once per week for the 6 weeks of Lent. Until the sunrise of Easter—Jesus resurrection. Together we’ll explore thresholds and “doors”—who knows what we’ll find or who we’ll meet when we knock…and answer the knock.

This Lent Season, we will practice a meditation journey—learning to recognize thresholds, doors and“knocks.” Deep breaths…fellow travelers. Jesus said: “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20 NIV.

Grab a cup of coffee (or tea) and join me for 30 minutes for three Wednesday mornings at 6:35 a.m. for a journey of prayer and meditation: February 25 and March 4, 11, 18 and 25 we will gather in our virtual upper room to pray and share stories both biblical and personal using The Upper Room as our guide. You will find free copies of The Upper Room in the narthex. The Upper Room is also available, free online at the following link: https://www.upperroom.org/devotionals.

If you cannot commit to all five weeks, please join when you can. Even if you do not have a copy of the Upper Room or access to the online version—call in anyway as we join our prayer voices together with Christians around the world by meeting in our virtual upper room for prayer time (I will be hosting the call).
