After many hot days a recent cool afternoon and night made it very real that another summer is drawing to a close. Summer for some may have been a time away from the worshipping community, but the beginning of a new season brings with it the opportunity to begin again, to recommit to being a part of the community of faith. I invite each of you, whether you have been in church every Sunday or whether you have taken time off to make a fresh start in your faith journey this fall.
The close of summer means going back to school, Broncos back on the field, no more beach vacations (at least for a while), and it means the beginning a new program year here at church. You will find many opportunities to be involved described in this newsletter. From various studies for adults, exciting programs for youth, Sunday School for children and youth, and music programs with bell and vocal choirs, and much more, we will be busy building relationships, serving the community and living out the good news of God’s love for all people.
I hope you find something in the many offerings here at GMUMC to challenge and enrich your spirit. If you don’t find something, I hope you will let a staff member know. Our hope is to provide programs that meet your needs, and to do that we need to hear from you.
May the changing of the seasons be a blessing to you!
Peace, paix, shalom, heiwa, salaam,
